Yesterday evening, a county water purification notification system released an announcement that the beaches at Rocky Point– on the CdM side of the jetties to the harbor– has been officially closed due to a large sewage leak.
At this point, there is no information as to where the sewage leak originated or the total amount of gallons leaked.
Generally, beach closures last for 3 days.
