Balboa Island’s One-Way Signs Finally Being Removed, Today

The Balboa Boardwalk is finally reopening in both directions– an action that has been prohibited by decree since May 5th, when one-way signs were installed (ironically, the same day Huntington reopened their beaches and Newport removed fencing from the beaches in CdM).

The city mandates required that instead of using the boardwalk as a two-way pathway to cross people, instead, people would need to follow behind those in front of them, indefinitely.

Residents say that they are happy see a sense of normalcy finally returning to local government.
