“Audit City Hall” Movement Gains Traction

As questionable spending is revealed in cities like Irvine throughout the county– and now the county itself– the cries for auditing Newport Beach’s own city hall are becoming louder and more clear.

We think that the largest-ever-expenditure begs for an audit simply because of its size alone. Council candidates Scott Peotter and Kevin Muldoon agree, and support auditing the city hall.
UPDATE: Roy Englebecht is also on-board for a majority to audit city hall.

What do you think?

Here is a great article from the Voice of OC on the newest scandal being uncovered thanks to an audit, this time on the county level: http://www.voiceofoc.org/countywide/county_government/article_e3446cee-2c92-11e4-9b06-0019bb2963f4.html
