When I began fundraising for this cause, I had no idea it would lead to this. From the SaveNewport group, we raised a whopping $11,100 for Ben’s memorial– an exceptional part of the total.
As other groups also joined in, we now have enough to begin this beautiful project in honor of our friend and lifeguard, Ben Carlson. Your contributions will help build a lasting memory of a lifeguard and true hero who gave everything while saving his fellow man. A permanent structure that will be seen for generations to come.
