Did you feel it?  That 4.6 was just upgraded to a 4.9– a real gentle rumbler. At 6:53:18pm today, an earthquake sent its waves through Newport Beach. The quake was centered at 33.493°N 116.504°W, about 80 miles due East from Newport. Newport Beach Decides Now is The Time to Test Sirens

Boardwalk Closing this weekend starting today around noon, according to District 5 councilman Jeff Herdman and the city’s new Public Information Officer. Street Sweeping Ticketing Paused for COVID-19

For the Coronavirus outbreak, all street sweeping enforcement has been stopped until further notice, according to the city of Newport Beach. While the street sweeping will still be occuring at the regular schedule, no enforcement on the parking will be issued, according to the city today.
