Save Newport Real News in Newport Beach
Last Saturday we helped set up and manage the Spirit of America event put on by Newport Beach’s Elks Lodge. This event was made to celebrate our many armed forces who put their lives on the line every day for our country. With several hundred people in attendance, we:
– Served countless hotdogs and hamburgers
– Raffled off many dozens of prizes
– Took our vets (and their families) on harbor cruises on three donated boats
– Had a massive clothing and toy section free of charge for our vets and their families
– Had a great time in the great Newport November weather, coming in at about 80 degrees!
All and all, it was a great event and the live band made it even better!
Thank you to the Newport Beach Elks Lodge for hosting the event and going through the significant planning and execution with it– and a big thank you, of course, to our veterans who put everything on the line, every day.
