Rudy’s Set to Re-Open with New Name, New Owners

A few weeks back on Oct 13, a source told me that Sharkeez purchased the old Rudy’s location.  While those real estate records haven’t come back yet, the alcohol license has been submitted to the ABC and is finally showing on the site as confirmation that yes: the owners of Sharkeez are planning on opening up a new concept there, tentatively looking to be the Palmilla Cocina Y Tequila, an “elevated Mexican food” establishment already launched as a very popular concept at 39 Pier Ave, Hermosa Beach, CA 90254.

While there is not yet an opening date, one can safely presume that this would be a rush to open by year-end, although it is possible that you may be able to ring in 2020 at the location (we shall see!)

SaveNewporter Rod Jeheber snapped this photo of the sign, now prominently placed, cinching the deal:

We will keep our ears out for an opening day, and of course, you will be the first to know!
