Last Day to Register to Vote

In Newport Beach we have a population of about 87,000 people, and a whopping 32,000 of them aren’t even registered to vote.  Today is the last day to register vote!  If you are not registered by 5pm today, you will be unable to vote in this upcoming election.  You can register online right here, in just 60 seconds: http://savenewport.com/vote

I spoke with the Registrar of Voters and they told me that you MUST be registered to vote in order to cast a ballot.  Contrary to some rumors, merely having a driver license or ID does not qualify you.

Those who cast ballots using their names without being registered will NOT be counted– please don’t take the chance, and be sure that you are registered to vote in Newport Beach this year.  If you were previously registered to vote in another area– even inside of Orange County– please make sure you register with your new address, as otherwise you will not be able to vote on the local ballot issues in your new area.

Please be sure that you are registered to vote, and share this link with your friends!

If you are signing your ballot and you are like me and don’t have a “standard signature”, just remember that the one they use for verification is the one on your license.
