Rudy’s Re-Opens

Sometimes, we get it wrong.
Last Friday, we reported that Rudy’s had closed.  That was accurate: It was closed for a heavy refresh.
It re-opened on Saturday under new management.

I spoke with the new owners– I mean new investors and new managers– and they seem to be passionate about reviving the place, and are revisiting the menu to make it more “tapas oriented”.  He confirmed that a complete remodel is envisioned (including a center bar) and probably coming soon.  Other rumors have it that it may be renamed “Ocean Bar”– but all of these changes are future ones, and the establishment is current reopen for business under the Rudy’s name.  The remodel took out the benches and added chairs, as well as resurfaced several areas, giving it a more fresh feel.  I went in there Sunday to watch some football and the whole place was packed– hopefully, this new group will put some life back in the place!

In other news, it’s going to be in the 90s today and pushing 100 tomorrow, so break out the portable A/C unit if you’ve got one– looks like you’re going to need it just one last time before summer finally leaves!
