Last Day to Register to Vote!

In Newport Beach we have a population of about 87,000 people, and a whopping 32,000 of them aren’t even registered to vote.  Today is the last day to register vote!  If you are not registered online today, you will be unable to vote in this upcoming election.  You can register right here in 60 seconds: http://savenewport.com/vote

I spoke with the Registrar of Voters and they told me that you MUST be registered to vote in order to cast a ballot.  Those who cast ballots using their names without being registered will NOT be counted– please don’t take the chance, and be sure that you are registered to vote in Newport Beach this year.   Not just because it’s my election, but this is a pivotal election for all of Newport Beach, and will determine the next 8 years of our future and what kind of traffic problems lie in store for us down the road.

You know me as the person who– with your voices behind me– has led the charge on issues such as saving Newport’s Dog Beach, fighting against violations of Prop13 (keeping peoples taxes low, and keeping life affordable).  You know me as the one who stood up to Big Money and Big Government as there are continued pressures in Newport Beach to sell our assets to crony businesses– last election cycle they decided to sell the Balboa Theater for $1m and ignore the two other bids on the table of $1.6m and $1.7m– one of which was mine.  This robbed the taxpayers of more than a half-million dollars so that the council could enrich their friends out of your pocketbook.

I’ve done this for years on my own time and on my own dime– and this year in November I ask for your vote to support me in helping to continue to save Newport Beach from outsider agendas and incompetent politicians.  But first– please be sure that you are registered to vote, and share this link with your friends!

If you are signing your ballot and you are like me and don’t have a “standard signature”, just remember that the one they use for verification is the one on your license.
