Balboa Island Parade- Sunday at 11am

This Sunday, June the 5th at 11am, the 23rd Annual Balboa Island Parade will take place– and a very special one at that, celebrating “100 Years of Fun & Sun”. This parade features a spirit like no other, and honors local business people, social groups, and elected officials.

The parade is about 2.5 miles long and marches on about a half-mile of road, making it the most feature-packed parade per-square-mile in America. The parade takes place on Marine Avenue and begins at the bridge, ending by the fire station.

It’s a very fun time for kids and families and if you haven’t been– you should definitely go! The bridge closes at 10:45am, so get here early! (It reopens at 12:30pm)

I have volunteered for the parade setup/breakdown for the last several years and will be there again tomorrow. See you there?
