April Fools: A History

Did you know???
April Fools day was originally known as April Pranks Day– but wait– April Pranks day is actually a mis-typed version of April FRANKS day.

April Franks was a famous comedian who traveled from city to city in the newly colonized Americas, delivering her acts and putting comedy routines on the map (previously, comedy routines almost entirely consisted of mimes and jugglers).

Franks entertained more than one million people throughout her life, earning her place in history right next to her cousin, Furter Franks, who made international fame as a world-class butcher.

Franks once said of her act “If people believe this story, they are truly going to be frustrated at the end of Mike Glenn’s sentence”. She was right.
