A Sand-O-Lantern

Happy Halloween tomorrow!

Happy Halloween, beachdwellers!

Tomorrow night is a special night and remains one of my favorite holidays, to this day!  Remember that some people still use live candles in jack-o-lanterns, so baggy-clothed costumes for the young ones need to be watched carefully to ensure they don’t get too close (and also so they don’t trip!).  Inspect all candy.  Smile.  Greet your neighbors.

If your child has any food allergies, bring your Epi-pen. You never know what might happen or what your child might eat when you aren’t watching.

There are many different histories of Halloween, but the one I enjoy the most is the one I was raised with: That the people were tired of monsters roaming the streets, so they banded together, dressed up as even SCARIER monsters, flooded the streets in their costumes, and scared off all the real monsters for another year!

This Halloween, stay safe, stay lit (bring a flashlight), and above all: HAVE A BLAST!
