Fundraiser for Newport Beach Jr Guards– Today!

The NBJG, once-cancelled due to SARS-CoV-2, now-restored, cannot be done under normal budget constraints.  So Newport Beach business stepped up to the plate– specifically, the Helmsman Ale House.

Organized by Councilman Kevin Muldoon and the owners of Helmsman Ale House (try the Reaper Burger, spice lovers!), the Helmsman has volunteered to donate *all profits* from 5pm to 8pm to help fill the financial hole burning in the Newport Beach Jr Guards.  Over $15,000 has been raised already, with plenty more to go.

So if you’ve got a hankering for a locally-brewed beer, if you haven’t seen the new Helmsman since it changed over from Newport BrewCo, if you like spicy burgers and haven’t tasted the best spicy burger that the peninsula has to offer– or if you simply like knowing the fact that the profits from everything you purchase go to make for a better upbringing for our local kids– Come on down between 5pm and 8pm today and order up at the Helmsman!

If you see me there with tears in my eyes above one of their Reaper Burgers, don’t worry… I’m ok.
