Test of the AlertOC Emergency Notification System

On Wednesday, October 18 at 10 a.m., the City of Newport Beach will be testing its emergency notification system, “AlertOC”.

All landline phones are automatically enrolled in the system and will be called. If you have registered your cell phone, that number will also be called.

AlertOC is a countywide notification system which allows cities to notify community members of emergencies and disasters.

The system was used during the recent Anaheim Hills fire to notify residents to evacuate the area.

If you haven’t already, this is a good time to register your cell phone(s) and email addresses with the AlertOC system. Visit our website for more information at http://newportbeachca.gov/alertoc.
