Feet to the Fire Forum

Last Wednesday, the Daily Pilot’s Feet to the Fire forum took place at OCC.  While my opponent Herdman was quick to criticize– an easy thing to do with the current council– his solutions were both few and obvious.   While everyone agrees with the obvious solutions, I also took aim at providing complex overhauls to our existing system.  To be clear: I am not talking about trimming safety functions such as police, fire, or lifeguards.  I am talking about in-house functions which can be streamlined if we just bothered giving our city workers the proper tools they need to do their jobs more efficiently.  In a digital age, our city still largely operates on paper– a wildly inefficient solution causing us to have the most city employees per capita in the entire county.
