UberEATS Hits Newport Beach

Hungry but don’t want to miss your favorite TV show?  Don’t want to fight traffic?  Don’t want to leave the beach?

UberEATS has arrived, covering almost all of Newport Beach (sorry Newport Coast, it looks like they aren’t serving your area… yet!).

Naturally, I had to give it a shot.  It was pretty darn easy.  Using a delivery code of “eats-uber4newport” I was able to get $10 off of my first meal, meaning that I got a Combo platter, Hummus, and Tahini from The Halal Guys for $3.60 instead of the normal $13.60.

The payment method was automagically linked from my Uber account, and payment was just as easy.  The delivery time was originally set for 7:39pm but adjusted itself on my phone and notified me that it would be 5 minutes early, at 7:34pm– awesome.  Just like Uber, I was able to track my driver all the way to my home.  I did notice that I was only able to order from one place at a time, so if you and someone else want to order from two separate places– you’re gonna need to use two phones with two accounts in order to do that.  Minor bummer, but easily overcome.

So go ahead and check it out!  You can download it here–
