Here’s How Newport Can Help Orlando After the Shooting– and it’s free

After the heinous crimes committed in Orlando on Sunday morning, many ask what they can do.   Give blood.
Orlando has called for blood donations, and blood donations are always in need, worldwide– all types of blood.  Specifically, Type O Negative, O Positive, and AB Plasma are regularly short.  Orlando will be getting blood from other banks, which will deplete their supply, so your donation will get there– even if not directly.

Hoag Hospital  has a blood donation center, located at 510 Superior Avenue Suite 130.  They are open on the following schedules:

Tuesday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Wednesday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Friday 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Saturday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Not soon enough?  The Red Cross blood donation center is open from noon until 7pm from Monday-Wednesday.  They are located at 17800 Newhope St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708

Please share this with your friends, and call Hoag to set up an appointment, at 888-538-6199– or 800-733-2767 for the Red Cross.

Facebook has also created a “Safe Checkin” for those in the area, allowing you to check in “Safe”, and everyone to see which friends have checked in, here: https://www.facebook.com/safetycheck/orlando-shooting-jun12-2016
