Pet of the Week: Marley

As the codification of Dog Beach moves forward, if you don’t have your own pup, you’re gonna be missing out on seeing them appreciate one of the best spots in the world for dogs to be– oh, and their companionship, too.  Newport has a lot of great dogs in need of great homes and great owners… And we’ve got the perfect pup for you to rescue who desperately needs a forever home.

From the shelter:

“Marley is such a relaxed boy! He walks great on a leash, gets excited for his walks. He also loves to cuddle with anyone willing to give him scratches and love.  He is such a sweetheart who has had a hard time in his short life.  He was on the kill list at the Orange County shelter for no reason other than that he is part pit bull.  We think he is also part Labrador and it is a very cute and mellow mix.  Marley is about 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and ready to find a family who will love him for the rest of his life.

Home Free Animal Rescue & Sanctuary is a registered 501c3 organization and operates out of a facility in Newport Beach.  They provide housing and care for the shelter animals of the City of Newport Beach.  Most of dog rescues come pre-screened from the Orange County shelter on their last day or two, but they have also rescued dogs from Riverside and San Bernardino county shelters.  Home Free Animal Rescue & Sanctuary is not a breed-specific shelter.  Their mission is simple: help dogs in need find their new forever homes.
