Daylight Saving Spring Forward
Daylight Saving Spring Forward

Spring Forward on Sunday!

Remember that Sunday morning we set our clocks FORWARD by one hour!

Daylight savings was created for the energy savings, particularly in old factories.  By slightly adjusting the clock to account for the changes in the sunrise and sunset times, employers were able to save money on heating and electricity– across many businesses combined, this had a huge impact on fledgling power stations.

Remember, this Sunday on March the 13th, “Spring Forward” into the new year and set your clocks forward an hour.  Technically, it’s the minute after 1:59am on Sunday it turns to 3:00am, so if you have an early morning– be sure to account for the loss of an hour of sleep!

With all the internet-linked clocks and watches, I don’t know that we’ll need to remember to do this for much longer.  I will only need to reset my oven and microwave, as my clocks, watch, and phone all link to the internet and take care of it for me.  What are you going to be resetting?
