You’re the First to Know: I Just Got a Column in the Newport Indy

Thank you for all the tremendous support you have given my voice over the last few years (has it really been that long?). We’ve had some very significant events! We defeated Dixon’s “Lights Out At 11pm”, we saved our small businesses, got our historic fire rings back, and we raised the very first dollars for the Ben Carlson Memorial (and raised well into the 5-figures!).

We have given a voice to those of us in the community who felt overlooked, spat upon, and generally disregarded in a council that had spun wildly out of control. We have helped to restore at least some sanity to our government… and we are just getting started.

Thanks to our massive readership (66,796 this week alone), I have been picked up to do a bi-weekly column with the Newport Independent, which will be called “Liberty Lounge”. Now, this will basically be a trial run to see if we work out– and while both sides hope it will last forever, right now we’re just dating– so don’t get clingy!

And don’t worry: I am not accepting any form of payment for it, and my opinions will continue to be raw and straight from the heart.

My opinions in this column will be bi-weekly and of course be published there first, but I will syndicate them through our site as well, so you won’t miss a beat– but if you want to hear it prior to the online publication, you can always pick up a free copy at your local store!

Have no fear, though, the normal daily news feed you’re used to will stay the same– I’ll just be branching out into some more traditional media, as well!

I feel like I might thank you guys too much, but honestly– I’m a very quiet person by nature, and without your support my voice wouldn’t mean a thing. Thank you so much, seriously, for your support, and for everything. Without you, none of this would be here.
